Wow, Saturday night was a blast. Peter surprised me with tickets to see a dance theatrical: GRAFFITI LIFE (The Color of My Sole), it was so entertaining and inspiring to watch. The show was hip hop dance with a storyline told on a spiritual level, right up my alley:)))))) Such a talented team of kids, were able to send goosebumps all over my body, outstanding performance and my favorite quote at the end of the producer of the show was: "The more challenges life brings, the more color is added to your soul!" What an awesome quote.
After that we enjoyed some sashimi and water at Raw, since both of us were dieting. Wow how fun it was to act like our water was vodka, straight up all about attitude and how you choose to enjoy yourself even in limited situations. Following sushi, we supported my co worker Troy's fashion show at the Hard Rock downtown and then met up with Peters friend at the Ivy for a little to dance and catch up. On our way back to the car, we chowed on some chicken breast sitting in my purse, yummmmmmmy:) and on our drive home reflected on how amazing our evening was and how dieting doesn't have to be a horrible thing. The best part is we both were dieting together and having a blast, how awesome to have somebody love and support you so much on every level and to go as far as dieting with you for the last seven weeks of your prep.
Today was so educational for me. I met with Link this morning my posing coach and learnt more in one hour than for the past three years of posing with different people. I know this time I am entering a National show and posing is critical in terms of wanting to become a champion. I picked the best of the best and will do whatever it takes to get my poses down flawlessly. He told me to practice daily for at least 30 minutes. We scheduled our next appointment for June 10th, after my training session to follow up with my progress and look. I showed him pictures of my last show in Hawaii, he immediately smiled and said, there is no way you can come in that ripped and hard looking or you won't even make it to the 2nd call out. He said my conditioning was already pretty good, just to watch for not getting to cut and to keep a soft and round look for on stage. I was taken away by surprise, yet kind of happy to realize I may be able to eat more and train less intense in terms of long cardio sessions.
I informed Kelly immediately about our discussion during the session and we decided to cut back on the cardio stepping it back down to 3 sessions at 30 minutes a week, and 2 HIT sessions a week. He is going to look over the diet plan again and move some things around where he sees fit. We are going to touch base tomorrow afternoon and I will have an update on how we will modify to achieve the perfect look for USA's (soft and full)!
Wow, time to chill this evening and prepare for the week, its going to be crazy!
Hope you all had a relaxing and awesome weekend as well, because you deserve nothing less:)

Day 43
Definitely leaner it is ashamed the pictures aren't coming out light enough, thinking I may have to take them in daylight will experiment around next week with that!
Arms was a blast, I saw one of my old buddies in the gym this morning Joe and he is as much as a meat head as myself so we tore it up and got our swell on just like good old times:)))))))
I am waiting to speak to Kelly on upcoming changes for the week, I can't believe I am already half way there, how time is flying. I am not even burnt out on dieting yet, honestly I am so motivated that food is just a tool to get me through performance, that is my slogan "I eat for performance not for taste":), while I am dieting. Will post more when I hear back from my nutritionist.

Day 42
Friday is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nearing 7 weeks until show time:)
I received a phone call from Ricky Suzuki the promoter from the Hawaiian Islands last night, he wanted me to send him the bill and my address to reimburse me with a check for sponsorship for the show, you know how awesome that feels? I was also happy to find out that when I fly out to support my friends from Hawaii for the Hawaiian Islands I am allowed back stage to help the girls out and be in the midst of all. That will be so nice to be there for everyone and give back what I was given last year support wise from everybody, the other great thing is that I will be 3 weeks out from my show and that will give me even more inspiration and drive for the last weeks of my training prep.
Wow next Thursday my client whom I used to train out in Hawaii Ellen, is flying me out to get her prepped backstage and support her during her very first show, how freaking exciting! I am so proud and feel honored to be a part of both shows behind the scenes!
Training was great today we killed shoulders and I managed to squeeze in abs and calves in between clients, legs are so stiff still really need to stretch the crap out of them LOL!
I am excited to see progress tomorrow when I post my new pictures up, followed by new measurements early next week:)
Proud to say my baby is going to be dieting with me for my last seven weeks of competition prep. I just finished up his diet plan and he starts tomorrow, how amazing is that? This makes it even more fun, having somebody diet with you and being able to look forward to that big day of eating whatever together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of my baby Peter, Ellen my client who is competing in Tulsa, Amanda, Shane, Kelly whom are doing the Hawaiian Islands, you guys are all studs!
Make sure to stop by my site and check out new pictures with new bikini:)

Day 41
Cool stuff I am starting to really see more cuts especially in the quads and abs:) I am starting to get more and more excited and the more cut up I get the harder I work, and the easier it becomes (so it seems)!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am taking a close look at my body early in the morning to see what I look like fresh out of bed, that is the best way to gage improvements with the eye. The time has come where I am starting to incorporate more Abs, basically any chance I get throughout the day in between clients I will go down and bang out some fast sets to make sure they stay tight and don't take up my time during a training session. I would rather spend my full energy on the workout instead of incorporating abs then.
In two weeks (about six weeks out) I am going to isolate trouble areas such as my glutes, upper hammies, outer and inner thigh out with cable exercises to burnout exhaustion most likely on Sundays, so that I can have enough rest in between my crazy leg workout Wednesdays to recover. During these burnout sessions I am going to really focus on working different angles to tighten up these areas super sets mostly. This is what I did for my last show towards the end of my training weeks and it really seemed to sculpt my lower half rather nicely.
Touched base with Kelly (nutritionist) today and we are going to go by Saturdays pictures to wait to make changes. Yayyyyy first week where I am going to train arms separately on Saturday, really looking forward to that:)
My interval cardio session this morning was tough but good, my legs will thank me for flushing out some of that lactic acid from yesterdays leg torcher; however I know tomorrow is going to be a killer pain day:))))))))))))))))))))
I know I mentioned previously I would never do another interval session inside the gym, but I had to bite the bullet and do it since my whole day was packed with clients and appointments. StairMaster was the choice this morning switching from Level 8 (recovery) to Level 20 (dying LOL) running. I managed to keep it up for twenty minutes, minute on, minute and a half rest, not including ten minutes to warm up and ten to cool down.
Overall great day, looking forward to my shoulder workout tomorrow!

Day 40
"I have absolutely no limits on what I intend to create" a quote from Wayne Dyers book got me started early this am as we drove back to San Diego from Rosarito at 4:30 am:) During the drive I reflected back on how content I felt and got my mind set for a days of work and getting back into the saddle with hard core training.
Legs was a great success! We completed three compound exercises in a row something we never did with legs, usually two at most are combined with isolation incorporated.
Today's workout included:
Squats
Leg Press Plate Load
Hack squats
Lying Leg curl
Leg extensions
of course all in the 30 -40 rep zone high weights. I was tired from traveling and working, but made it a point to live in the moment during the leg workout and muscle through it with energy and optimism. Great success and I am sure I will be awaiting sore legs.
My fridge is nice and restocked with greens, egg whites, chicken breast, salmon, steak and yams:) I am ready to utilize every minute of my day to my advantage and look forward to transforming into a sculpted hard body. My vision during training is going to be that I am a machine, no feelings of pain, suffering or fear, just getting it done hard every session.
It is time to focus, focus, focus!!!!!!
My suite fitting is one week today, and my first posing session is happening this Sunday. Excited about my journey, but really am focusing on living the present every day and not looking into the future nor the past, just living in the now!!!!!!!
To a great Thursday to you all!

Day 39
Our last day here in Mexico was very invigorating and productive. We chilled by the pool, educated ourselves with spiritual books and did our cardio along the beach. I haven't had such a great 50 minute cardio session in a while. Peter and I ran 50 minutes along the coast enjoying the scenery and the breeze off the ocean. A funny story, along our run a dog came running aside of me and for more than half of the run, became my running partner while Peter strolled along at a slower pace behind us. It was very odd, but cute how the dog and I would do intervals together, running slow then picking the pace up for some of the stretch. Sometimes I would turn around and run back towards Peter and the dog would follow me as if he was there to keep me company during my faster pace. On our return the dog dropped off about half way back and I was very thankful for her company during my run:)
I am ready to head back to work in the morning with a revived state both physically and mentally. Can't wait to hit legs in the evening. Here we come eight weeks left, time is flying.
I am so relaxed, and am going to enjoy the rest of the evening with my baby. Will write more tomorrow and keep you updated on the last eight weeks, as well on any new updates my nutritionist gives me:) Have a wonderful evening and be thankful for each and every day.

Day 37
Mhhhhhh how nice it is to sleep until 10am LOL! Something I haven't done in such a long time. I am really enjoying this mini vacation to recoup, relax and regain energy to get me through the last eight weeks of my competition prep. I am very greatful for this mini vacation and don't you worry I am not letting loose on the training and eating part. Although I may be sleeping more and relaxing and enjoying some sunshine and not having to worry about work, I am still on top of both eating and training as per my set out schedule.
Today I had an awesome HIT session on the beach. After a good stretch session we head down and ran along the beach, I marked my sprint distance and Peter took off and jogged on his own. I sprinted twenty minutes straight on hard surfaced sand, felt strong, fast and accomplished when done. I was even videotaped by some Mexicans, who most likely thought I was freaking nuts LOL! Then we hit the pool to cool off and enjoy some sun, the jacuzzi and some Wayne
Dyer books.
We had an outstanding home cooked dinner, Buffalo burgers with onions and greens, and enjoyed a nice walk to digest and spend time exploring Rosarito:) This evening we plan on hitting some night clubs to dance salsa and listen to some live music. I already have my chicken breast cooked and ready to put into my purse for my last meal snack while out and about (the beauty of dieting) hahahah.
Tomorrow we plan on waking up earlier to hit the gym and head down to Ensenada to enjoy new scenery and beaches. Have a wonderful evening!

Day 36
Mexico here we come!
We drove down to Mexico today and checked in to our lovely timeshare right on the beach. I was taken away by its beauty and serenity. After unpacking mostly all of our food LOL and clothes we took off for a two hour walk on the beach enjoying the sun, people and most importantly each other.
After our walk we made some food and relaxed a little. I worked out weights in the morning before we left so all I had to focus on for the day was to get my 50 minute cardio session in, which I did in the evening while Peter studied. We also started discussing Peters diet for the upcoming week, and figured out food choices and measurements for him so that once I take his measurements and give him guidelines he will be more prepared on what to expect. We finaliazed his training schedule as well and took into consideration his High, Medium and Low days according to his training split.
For dinner we made Fillet Mignon and veggies with home made salsa which we picked up from the restaurant. I must say to be on vacation and on a such a strict diet is amazing when you can share it with somebody who respects you and is considerate on your eating times and choices. Makes the trip so much more pleasurable. We were planning on going out that night, instead we passed out and caught up on some much needed rest.
Sunday will be HIT day, another great session on the beach, I am sure with all that rest the session will be fast and furious. Enjoy our weekend everybody and remember to take a minute out of your day tomorrow to give thanks to all the soldiers and people that have given their lives.

Day 35
Pictures are up, however they were taken in the afternoon after consuming foods and lots of water so the bloat is skewing the actual image a little. I had to download them early since I was leaving town the next day early morning to go to Mexico with my baby.
My nutritionist was also leaving town to go to Maui for the weekend and is not able to check his email so I am going to keep things as they are until otherwise advised.
I did decide to change my training split up, which I still have to discuss with Kelly and see what he thinks. Helvio my trainer and I thought this would allow me more time to really hit big body parts hard and still incorporate an extremely intense arm day on a weekend day, this will allow me to hit arms a little harder due to the fact that incorporating them with shoulder and back days they are so fatigued i feel this will give more benefit overall. Off to Mexico early morning, will keep you updated on my trip and my training and dieting down there:)
The new split I am thinking about goes as follows:
Monday: Back
Tuesday: Abs/Calves
Wednesday: Legs
Thursday: Abs/Calves
Friday: Shoulders/Chest
Saturday: Arms
Sunday: Off
I may even do light chest on a Tuesday to allow for a full shoulder workout Friday will make the call when the time comes!

Day 34
This morning I woke up feeling fresh, ready to tear it up in every aspect of my day. After work I head to Mission Beach where I sprinted for 20 minutes (10min. hard sand surface, 10min. soft sand), was surprised on how well I felt after leg day last night. I made sure I warmed up extensively and stretched when I was done. What a beautiful way to spend a HIT session. Not a soul on the beach, just my ipod and my determination to make every next sprint better and faster than the previous.
I think what kept me finishing strong, was thinking about the massage I was about to get afterwards LOL. What a way to finish of a days of work and working out, with a well deserved relaxing massage.
The wonderful thing about today was the fact that I was low carbing again and felt a tremendous difference in my energy levels:) A lot of that had to do with the way I visualized I wanted my day to run the evening previous. I was actually on freaking fire this evening as I came home from my massage. I am such a planner and now that I am dieting for this show and leaving town on Saturday early morning I got all my food cooked for Friday and Saturday, packed all my supps, measured out all my carbs and packed all my stuff already (taking in consideration my scale, measuring spoons, tupper ware etc.). Friday is going to be super busy for me so I wanted to plan ahead and be ready to roll without stressing out. Saturday Peter and I are waking up hitting the gym at 5am then after our shower heading right out to our resort, so there will be no time to pack last minute stuff.
My bed is calling me, feel as if my day was a success and look forward to a great nights sleep:) We are planning on taking pictures tomorrow instead of Saturday since I won't be in town, hope to have them up for you by tomorrow evening:)

Day 33
Heck yeah what a turn around from yesterday. After realizing how down and affected I was by everybody else's mood I drew the line and had some serious reflecting to do at home in silence by myself. After work I came home, put on some music and got all fired up with positive thoughts, and mind blowing visions about how I want to feel and live my life, and how NOBODY shall ever have the power to take away the miraculous feeling I create and live by daily.
I choose to be happy no matter how tired, how burnt out, how hungry I am. Attitude is the key ingredient especially for my next eight and a half weeks of competition prep because I am going to experience ups and downs. I am certain on shooting for the best day every day! Happy to have experienced some down days, to realize what a waste of energy and time that was and to remind myself that I am much smarter and valuable then to let anything get in my way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My leg workout was one of the strongest I have had in a while, not do to the physical, but the mind set part of it. From the moment I walked into the gym this evening I was certain I would have an outstanding workout and never once thought otherwise. I'm sick of fear getting in the way, so I have decided that instead of getting nervous before leg days I am going to approach it with a psycho mentality and think to myself here is going to come the sickest craziest leg workout ever and I am pumped the hell up for it! Now that is what I am talking about!
Our focus was mainly on hamstrings this week. Weights went up again with no loss in strength:) How freaking cool!
Helivo and I were joking because I said to him I didn't feel like throwing up today and his response was "I guess you will never be satisfied with a leg workout until you get that nauseous feeling huh?" He also said "your a changed woman never will you be able to do just 15 reps on leg day and think you destroyed them and be satisfied, your going to always want to push for 30 haha!"
Well I must say I am looking forward to doing beach sprints tomorrow for my HIT session. Hopefully I will be able to extend my tight hamstrings fully LOL.
Thank you all for being there for me and for believing and supporting me every step of the way. Lets all keep a positive attitude, it will make the world a better place for everybody:) Have a splendid evening and look forward to writing more tomorrow:))))))))
Epsom salt bath time yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
To my baby happy 2 month anniversary!!!!!!

Day 32
Today was a rough one. Low carb day and boy did I feel the effects of it finally. I think the increased cardio and decrease in carbs are setting in. I really had to keep my focus positive and my attitude upbeat. Not only did I have a day off of training, but also had a light work day, however I still felt drained and non motivated. It is really hitting that time to get away, which as you know is going to happen this weekend (thank goodness)! Mexico here I come!
This evening looking forward to reading my book, sleeping early and eating carbs in the morning and not having to do cardio. As you know leg day coming so energy needs to be contained until then.
The good thing about feeling the way I did today is knowing that I am human and not a machine. I let these days ride out and keep in mind that it is normal to feel this way and I always manage to pull my way back out and motivate my inner self. Nobody is perfect and with this diet and discipline it is extremely important to be kind to yourself and love yourself no matter what emotions you are feeling, or how rough it gets. The eye on the end goal is what keeps me going, knowing I am alive and healthy and have great people with me keeps my fire burning.
Tomorrow is a new day, a day to kill it! Have a good night everybody!

Day 31
Thank God for good books, then for without them 50 minutes of cardio would be pretty boring. The day panned out just as I visualized it, very productive! I was very excited to receive a phone call from a photographer that Peter does trade with, to find out he wants to work out details for a photo shoot for sometime later July here in San Diego.
The theme of the shoot will be fitness related so that I can send the professional pictures out to various magazines and have my dream come true to be publicized as a fitness model. The best thing about the shoot is that it will fall right before my show, so I will look the part of a fitness model and be in the best shape ever!
One of my many goals for this year is to appear in a various magazines and I am confident that all the hard work will pay off in the end.
My workout this evening was amazing as usual, and seeing some more cuts while pumping iron was even more inspirational to want to train harder and more aggressive. From here on out, changes will appear more rapidly week to week especially that we tightened up the diet and cardio.
Going to make my last meal of the day egg whites with some almond butter and hit the sack, so that I can get enough rest for my early cardio session tomorrow.
Sleep tight guys, for rest and recovery is the most important part of training.

Day 30
Nice Sunday! Worked out at Lava in the morning, did stairs at the Embarkadero in the afternoon and going to bed early tonight. Next week is going to be challenging. I just received new guidelines for my diet and my low, medium and high days all dropped in terms of carbohydrates as well as my fat content, which is my savior for when I am hungry drastically got removed for this upcoming week. My cardio was bumped up to 50 minutes for my 3 moderate sessions a week.
I look forward to getting through this week and taking off to Mexico to train, diet and relax for a couple of days.
Wishing everyone a great week next week.

Day 29
Pictures are updated!
Spoke to my nutritionist earlier this morning after he viewed my pictures and we decided to drop one of my High days and only hit the High day on the days I do a body part twice and consume them on the second workout. All the other training days are Medium and the days off I will remain with Low carbs. We are also going to experiment with the fats in my diet and lessen the consumption and see what happens. Supplements, training and cardio will remain the same for this upcoming week.
To set my schedule up ahead of time for the week I already established my HIT days. I am going to do one Sunday and the other Thursday after leg day (which will be interesting), and keep the other cardio days at 45 minutes early am on an empty stomach with one day off.
This morning I decided to do my 45 minute cardio session on my road bike, boy what a nice change from hitting cardio at the gym everyday, plus my legs feel much better today after that ride and the Epsom salt bath from last night. I hit up my friends jacuzzi and stretched in there for quite some time as well, feel revived and strong again! I have a feeling legs are just going to get easier and easier now, that we have the psycho workout down. It is all about getting accustomed to the weights and reps:)
This evening I am going to enjoy a movie and get good rest so that I can hit the gym early tomorrow morning for a great Back and Bicep workout at Lava.
Have a fantastic Saturday whatever you do!!!!!

Day 28
Talk about still being sore! Geeeeee I am going to soak in some Epsom salt to try and get a little relaxation going in the legs, they feel extremely sore and beat up to all hell. I noticed an increase in appetite today (even though I am on my High day), as well as an increase in body temperature. Exhaustion is at its peak, this weekend I want to lay low and focus on training and resting. Peter and I are going to check out another gym for our weekly workout together at Lava in Point Loma Liberty Station, should be fun to view another prestigious new gym so I hear:)
I finally scheduled my first posing session with Head Judge Link Swinson here in San Diego for Sunday May 31st. I figure I might as well learn from the best of the best and allow his positive criticism fine tune my posing so that I bring an A class package to the stage. Posing is extremely important in Figure and I know that this will be a daily routine that needs to be practiced over and over again until perfection. Honestly I feel posing is the hardest part in competition prep, holding yourself in positions for long periods of time extremely tensed up while looking graceful is not the easiest thing to do. Link and I will see how I do Sunday and set up more sessions for the remaining prep accordingly.
Enjoy your Friday night and come visit my site to see pictures tomorrow:)

Day 27
I finally received notice that I am officially one out of 300 competitors from all over the country competing in this prestigious IFBB Pro qualifying contest in Vegas in July how exciting! I think the biggest show I ever competed in was the Orange County Classic in 2007, what a difference 300 plus competitors will make.
We also received an email stating that the top 6 height class winners for figure, bikini and overall winners for men and women bodybuilding are required to participate in the NPC NEWS Photo Shoot with J.M. Manion on Sunday, July 26 at the Embassy Suites Hotel Swimming Pool from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Travel plans should be set according, which will affect me since I am supposed to fly out 9am on Sunday morning. I am just going to plan on missing that flight and taking the afternoon flight out. Thinking of July brings butterflies to my stomach and an excitement beyond belief.
As for my legs, wow they are feeling pretty destroyed. I am glad I got a relaxing massage today to flush out some of that lactic acid, but am certain that tomorrow I will feel as if I was hit by a truck. It always takes me two days to get really sore. Every time I get up from sitting down I am in such agony, however it seems to put a smile on my face, due to the fact I know my muscles are growing and my goal of having nice developed legs for USA's is on its way of happening.
Other than doing cardio this morning, I took off the day completely to allow my body to rest. I was feeling a little tired this whole week and want to play smart not to experience any setbacks. Tomorrow back and biceps and no cardio yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
I am so looking forward to next weekend my baby is taking me to Mexico to get away relax and spend some quality time together for Memorial Day weekend. I am still sticking to training and dieting so I am relieved to hear that we have a kitchen with full amenities. I am greatful to have such an amazing man in my life and to be in love:) it is the best feeling in the world.
Okay enough of that, lets end this week strong and enjoy our well deserved weekend.

Day 26
Holly crap! Legs are getting more and more challenging. I felt super nauseous during and after my session today, to the point I felt like throwing up. Kind of sick, but I love that feeling of complete exhaustion. All the exercises we did today were all compound exercises consisting of heavy weights and 30 reps each set, the only isolation exercise was one for hamstrings super set with the leg press. A total of 390 reps for legs were completed in this leg session today all hit within only four exercises and 1 hours time.
1, Leg press
2, Hacksquat
3, Frontal squat
4, Lying leg curl
Sometimes the set becomes so intense and extreme I have to constantly remind myself that only with hard work and pushing through the uncomfort zone will I produce a champion. This takes so much mental energy, because the mind is what always fails before the body does. Thank God Helvio is there to remind me that I am a champion and that when it gets tough to push harder and beat my set to completion no matter how hard it gets. He also pushes my buttons and asks if I want to just give up; that fuels me with more drive and ambition to fight through each set and achieve victory every time. I hate to fail and I will not fail ever with legs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight I am going to take it easy and let my legs recover. I am sure I will be walking like I have a stick up my ASS tomorrow, I could barley walk out of the gym and down the stairs to my car this evening.
I look forward to getting up early tomorrow doing my cardio training clients and then heading for my massage with Stacy. I am sure my body will thank me for some relaxation time and flushing out some lactic acid. It will be a real treat!
Goodnight to all of you! Sleep well and remember each day is a gift given to us to enjoy, so make the best out of it! :)

Day 25
I was beat all day today. My legs were still killing me from Fridays workout and not relaxing enough over the weekend knocked all my energy out. I really listened to my body and took it easy. Tuesdays is usually my day off anyways which was perfect, although the sprinting HIT session I was supposed to do turned into a leisure run along the beach for 30 minutes, I still did something productive.
Helvio and I decided to do my legs this Wednesday anyways so an extra day of rest was the best decision I could have made, instead of tearing them up after a sprint session not even feeling completely recovered. After my leisure run I came home ate dinner and went straight to bed to watch a movie "The Ultimate Gift", which if you haven't seen I recommend to do so. Great movie. I woke up this morning feeling like a new person and look forward to a productive and amazing day.
Remember listen to your body for it will never steer you wrong if you really pay attention on what is going on inside. If you are exhausted and need that extra day I assure you it will pay off in the long run.
I will report back this evening on how my leg session goes:)

Day 24
Measurements are in and progress was established. My body fat dropped from 20% to 18% in two weeks. I am loosing body fat without sacrificing muscle as of now, which is exactly what we want. Even though I lost some inches, I am holding on to my muscle quite well. Last week I hit a low of 137lbs on the scale; we will see what this week does, taking the cheat from Friday into consideration and then determine changes for next week in diet and cardio.
Had an extremely strong back workout this evening, still beating my numbers from last back workout. Pull ups are getting easier as the weeks go and the fat melts away:) I look forward to taking the day off tomorrow and just focusing on a great HIT workout session on the beach. My muscles are sore and worked. I scheduled myself a massage for Thursday to make sure I am balancing out hard work with pamper time so that I don't burn out.
Good night and wish you all an amazing day tomorrow!

Day 23
Mothers Day!
Even though my mother far away in Stuttgart, Germany, I still had an awesome day thinking of her and embracing her within my thoughts. We had a beautiful conversation over the phone early Sunday morning and managed to catch up and reconnect. I spent the day with Peter and his mom Lydia, at Sea World celebrating mothers day watching Elvis Crespo live in concert.
That morning we trained at Fit downtown and loved the energy and the different feel the gym had to offer. Peter and I are planning on checking out Lava the new gym in Point Loma next weekend to mix it up and keep training interesting and fun. I finally was able to speak to Kelly in Hawaii about my nutrition and we decided to keep the diet and training the same again for this upcoming week. As planned legs are no longer happening Fridays, we are going to hit them Mondays from now on.
This week Tuesday I plan to do beach sprints and then Saturday a crazy ass track workout with explosive all out sprints. I already feel the lactic acid burn build up in my quads yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To a great week of training and progress!
I plan on getting my measurements done before hitting the weights later this evening. Once they are in hand I will make sure and post them. I also wanted to share with you all, my baby decided he wanted to diet with me for the last eight weeks of my training and competition prep not only to cut up and shed some body fat, but also to experience what it is like to be so strict and disciplined. I love the fact that he wants to join me in my journey, I will devise a diet plan for him consisting of low, medium and high days according to his goal and his measurements.
I am sure it will be a real fun eight weeks for both of us and hey we can look forward to going out to dinner and having sushi together LOL!
Remember no matter what happens in life keeping a positive perspective and seeing the bright side on anything will keep you sane and motivated. I know from experience! The power to make the decision on how to view things are within ourselves! Train hard and eat smart!

Day 22
Fun and done! Cheat night was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peter took me to get Hoboken Pizza in P.B. and it was delicious! I ate 5 slices of pizza and scarfed down chocolate cake and some carrot cake from the cheesecake factory for desert. Was worth it 100 percent!
This morning I woke up 4lbs heavier, bloated as hell and energy so intense you would have thought I was on crack LOL. It worked out perfect. I ran a 5 K this am with some friends to support my client Ashley Wirth. She put together this amazing race to raise money for physical education in Charter Schools, which I thought was worth the cause and gathering. We had a blast and surprisingly I did well in the race for not really training in the running department:). I am stunned my legs were not as sore as I had thought they would be due to yesterdays crackhead leg workout; however, I am sure tomorrow when my delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) sets in I will be in hell.
So pictures were taken today and due to my cheat the bloat doesn't show much progress, but that's alright, I am right on track and ahead of the game as of now. I am waiting to speak to my nutritionist later on today and see if we are incorporating any changes for the upcoming week. I will keep you posted. Enjoy the weekend and check back for measurements Monday along with any possible updates:)

Day 21
Holly crap Legs are toast! Was totally worth it, because now I can enjoy my treat meal tonight. Okay its a tie between Persian food and Pizza, the chocolate cake is already set in stone duhhhh:)
Main focus on legs today was Hamstrings with a burn out round for quads. We did the following:
SS= super set 3 sets each
lying hamstring curl 30 reps SS BB dead lifts 20 reps
DB stiff legged dead lifts 20 reps SS standing 1 leg curl 30 reps
hack squats bottoming out 30 reps SS with seated leg extension 30 reps (mhhhh what a burn)
seated leg curls 30 reps
I guess we will see how well I can walk this weekend LOL. I am glad I have a High carb day along with a cheat I am sure this will be burnt right off anyways and go straight to the legs.
Next week will be an interesting week. I am starting dance lessons with my honey either Thursday or Friday evenings for Salsa and Meringue and I am switching my leg workouts to Mondays so that I can dance and blast legs out with enough days in between for recovery. This shift in schedule also means I have to rotate my sprinting HIT days around my leg workouts, so I will incorporate one most likely Wednesdays and the other Saturdays. All else will still be rotated according to day and plan A, B, C until there is a need to make a change.
Happy Friday and a special thank you to all of you for reading my blog and supporting me along the way to becoming a champion.
Much love

Day 19, 20
Almost three weeks down 11 to go:) Weeks are flying by it is insane. I did an early HIT session this morning on the stair master and found out sprinting on stairs inside at 4am not the most fun thing to do. I would rather save those days where I have to do intense cardio and do them outside during the day. I think it is much easier to muster up energy for energy release in terms of intense cardio later on in the day. The beauty and serenity that San Diego has to offer is also a plus. Well you live and learn right.
I am so excited to hit my treat meal tomorrow evening, honestly not sure where we are going to go yet, but I am sure a piece of chocolate cake will be somewhere within the mix yum!
Tomorrow's leg day is creeping up on me and I am starting to get myself ready using tomorrow night as an incentive to train hard as hell. I look forward to the weekend and pictures, I feel throughout the week I have changed quite a bit. Stay tuned for pictures and measurements this coming Monday.
Remember it is the power of the mind that will determine your success. Attitude is critical in everything we do and that is what will set us apart from ordinary people that just go through the motions in life. I never want to be just mediocre do you?

Day 18
We did it!!!! Stairs were freaking insane. I ran the Embarkadero stairs with my clients Ashley and Seal and Joanne Ashley's aunt. What an intense workout. We warmed up briefly and took off continuously sprinting up the stairs single and double stepping using the walk down as a recovery, then right back into high gear until the top. We went full force for twenty four minutes then cooled down for about five minutes before stretching. I can't tell you how badly my legs were quivering. I am so glad Ashley drove, I remember last year I couldn't drive my stick shift car for about twenty minutes because every time I applied pressure on my feet to push the clutch in, they would shake out of control LOL.
We had such a blast and it sure feels good to be done. I am glad I brought my I-pod to get me through the workout for if it wasn't for awesome music it would have been much harder to complete. I am already looking forward to my next session! Next time I am already looking into stepping it up with even more intensity! I love the feeling of being completely annihilated! Where the mind goes the body will follow; that is my goal every workout no matter if strength training or doing cardio, I always want to outdo last time!

Day 17
Its official! My NPC card came in the mail and my application was sent out today. Yeahhhhhhhh!
A day closer to the big day, boy time sure is flying.
I was pleased to see my weights go up in every exercise today in my chest/shoulder/triceps workout rotation A. This week is all about beating numbers and getting my cardio HIT sessions up to par. This weekend was fun and relaxing so my energy level is skyrocketed and I feel the challenge will be met with flying colors.
Look forward to reporting on how the convention center run goes tomorrow, should be fun, it will be four of us including myself. A lack of motivation and energy won't be the obstacle, it is the power of the mind that will determine the outcome of the session. I know I am ready to tear it up so bring it on!!!

Day 16
What a refreshing fun weekend. How does one whom is on a strict diet and intense workout regimen go out and enjoy life. Simple! Here is how:)
Saturday Peter and I took beach cruisers around the bay enjoying each other for about an hour ride. Randomly Peter looked on line and saw an opportunity to go downtown and watch a symphony. So we decided to get ready and enjoy some classical music downtown, which was an excellent way to unwind and spend quality time together. What an amazing man I have by the way:))))) I was blown away of how beautiful and powerful such a performance can be. I was wowed and mighty impressed by the whole performance and talent. Afterwards we hit up some sashimi at RA sushi, which was nice, due to the fact of not being able to go out to eat much due to the strictness of my diet.
This morning I had a surprise planned for my client Deb:) It was her birthday and I thought to myself why not take her on a 6 mile walk downtown at the Embarkadero to enjoy the gorgeous weather and views of the harbor. We were accompanied by Grampy and the surprise turned out fabulous. Exercise doesn't have to be a life sentence and along with great company wow, what a treat it can become.
I also took a snapshot of my challenge on Tuesday for sprint day for my HIT session. Wow what a magnificent way to enjoy a hard core cardio session outside. In all I am blessed with my life and appreciate the people that I surround myself with and the beauty that San Diego has to offer, physical or for pleasure how can you get bored living in such a beautiful city.
Saturday Peter and I took beach cruisers around the bay enjoying each other for about an hour ride. Randomly Peter looked on line and saw an opportunity to go downtown and watch a symphony. Day 15
Picture update! This morning I sent my pictures to my nutritionist Kelly Valdez who is helping me with the show prep and we both decided already leaning out a little right on track. The following changes for this upcoming week are minimal: Cardio sessions still five for the week, however the duration and intensity is going to change. Instead of 30 minutes five times a week, we are changed it to 45 minutes three times a week, with two HIT sessions for 25-20 minutes (not incl. warm up and or cool down). Diet and carb set up will remain the same. Keeping my low days on my off/abs/calves days and high on leg days and one other day the rest at medium. On Friday I am allowed a free meal in replacement of my last meal, which will happen after my leg day. I am so looking forward to that day. We will see what my taste buds crave at that point in time:)))))))
Workout today was killer. I trained with my babe and we pushed it damn hard. I love it, definitely felt worked afterwards. I noticed that my pull ups are getting a little easier, and look forward to more weight coming off to have the ability to do them all without a spot.
I cycled through all the workouts and am starting back on A for next week. My focus will be again, either to increase weight and or reps. Seeing slight changes only after two weeks is so damn motivating to me, I am diligent and hungry for more intense workouts and look forward to more improvements down the road.
To have a hard body you need a strong mind and that is my motto. Train hard and smart!

Day 14
Two weeks down 12 to go:) I am starting to feel hungrier on my diet. I had a high carb day today for my leg day which was very satiating, however on my low days I am noticing a steep increase in appetite, stomach growling more towards the evening. I really think my metabolism has started to kick into high gear. I am sure next week after incorporating HIT sessions I will notice more of a jump in appetite as well as a rise in body temperature.
Leg day was brutal as usual, pushing 630 pounds on the leg press high reps of course:) followed by an immediate jump onto the leg extension for another freaking record weight and rep set. Hamstrings were targeted today as well, pounding out 20 reps on the leg curl heavy weight followed by stiff legged dead lifts with 185 pounds including the BB for my heaviest set. Last but not least we super set seated hamstring curls with 90 lbs for thirty reps, followed by 1 legged sideway lying presses, which (holly shit) made my ass burn so badly I thought there was a match stuck up it LOL! On the sideway press I also maxed out the heaviest weight ever 50 lbs with 30 reps. I was happy and look forward to beating those numbers next time around.
I know for my legs to respond we really need to drill them to absolute failure. I am so stoked to see what I will look like even just three weeks from now, I am already seeing some cuts in my legs from only two weeks of dieting.
As for diet changes, we decided to keep everything the same for now until we compare the new pictures with the old ones. Already looking forward to pounding out back and biceps tomorrow morning early. Tonight date night with my other half, time for some unwinding and fun:)
