Day 23

Mothers Day!

Even though my mother far away in Stuttgart, Germany, I still had an awesome day thinking of her and embracing her within my thoughts. We had a beautiful conversation over the phone early Sunday morning and managed to catch up and reconnect. I spent the day with Peter and his mom Lydia, at Sea World celebrating mothers day watching Elvis Crespo live in concert.

That morning we trained at Fit downtown and loved the energy and the different feel the gym had to offer. Peter and I are planning on checking out Lava the new gym in Point Loma next weekend to mix it up and keep training interesting and fun. I finally was able to speak to Kelly in Hawaii about my nutrition and we decided to keep the diet and training the same again for this upcoming week. As planned legs are no longer happening Fridays, we are going to hit them Mondays from now on.

This week Tuesday I plan to do beach sprints and then Saturday a crazy ass track workout with explosive all out sprints. I already feel the lactic acid burn build up in my quads yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To a great week of training and progress!

I plan on getting my measurements done before hitting the weights later this evening. Once they are in hand I will make sure and post them. I also wanted to share with you all, my baby decided he wanted to diet with me for the last eight weeks of my training and competition prep not only to cut up and shed some body fat, but also to experience what it is like to be so strict and disciplined. I love the fact that he wants to join me in my journey, I will devise a diet plan for him consisting of low, medium and high days according to his goal and his measurements.

I am sure it will be a real fun eight weeks for both of us and hey we can look forward to going out to dinner and having sushi together LOL!

Remember no matter what happens in life keeping a positive perspective and seeing the bright side on anything will keep you sane and motivated. I know from experience! The power to make the decision on how to view things are within ourselves! Train hard and eat smart!
